Old Elizabethans on track for prompt start

Preparations are in full flight for the start of the 2013 season. WIth just three weeks to go, the ground is starting to take shape - all this despite the horrendous weather we are having. This winter has been one of the most difficult on record, with the ground either under snowfall, or very wet throughout.

With snow lying on the ground as we speak in late March, it is pleasing to know that our hard-working team of groundstaff have been hard at work during the late winter and early spring. The Clubhouse has seen a refurbishment over-winter, with the bar area and kitchen receiving a make-over.

On the ground itself, the outfield is getting closer to playing height and the square has had pre-season rolling commence. If the weather plays ball, then lets hope for some of that warm sunshine we all want to help dry things up!

I am delighted to announce that we have 3 new sponsors for the 2012 season.

Our main shirt sponsor is to be the Sanctuary Group who have committed to 2 seasons of being the main sponsor for the OEs. They are a successful, local company committed to providing quality and affordable housing and effective social care services and facilities. You can find out more about them by going on their website www.sanctuary-group.co.uk.

Our second sponsor, being on the sleeve on the playing shirts is the Anarkali Restaurant on The Tything, Worcester. They are a successful business, providing high quality food with fabulous service. Go to their website to see what latest offers they have on. www.anarkaliworcester.com.

The third sponsor is McDonalds, Hylton Road. This as an excellent agreement for the club and we're happy to welcome them onboard.
